I have been taking photographs since I was quite young. Both my father and grandfather had reasonably good cameras – although they only used them to take the usual family snapshots – and I was allowed to use them whenever I wanted.
I started experimenting in my teens and did a little formal training as part of a college course in the 70’s. One of my earliest employers allowed me to learn a bit more and to afford my first ‘proper’ camera, a Konica Autoreflex TC. For no particular reason, other than I like them, I’ve stuck with that brand, through a couple of name changes, and today use Sony A Series cameras. Oh, and my phone… well, doesn’t everyone?
